The Gratitude Project: Day 6: Hitting the Parent Lottery
June 20th 2008 02:48
I am thankful that in fifty two years of marriage, running errands, bill paying, car repairs, dirty dishes, and running the parent taxi service, my parents created a model of lifelong commitment for my sister and I.

Hello world heres a some that Im singing, but no less happy that my parents didn;t give me all that, they made up for it in other ways ... I just had to look deeper, so very much deeper for the blessings in their upbringing...albeit it a short 15 years of actually pretending to care...
As I said, no bad feelings, come on get happy, Im over it and think everyone with a gripe should be too, at least by 30. It never surprises me how many of my clients are 60 and still moaning about what their parents did or didn;t do... hey get over it...find the blessings you did get and LET IT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
Easier said than done for many huh?
Lilla ...

It is so good to see you amid your technical difficulties. I am always amazed at folks that hang on to grudges and hurt. You are so right about this:
Easier said than done for many huh?
I admire your pluckiness and your ability to make lemonade out of lemons.
